This body of work was inspired by my parents’ photography from their many trips to South Africa on photo safari. I grew up seeing the images they would bring back with them and always felt connected to the magical beasts from faraway lands. I do take license with the way the image is put together and have been told more than once that “One would never see that bird on that animal”. It’s okay, I like it that way!
